MBS estimating provides three basic services, Estimating, Detailing, and MBS Admin/Maintenance.  Within these three branches of service the level of need from client to client can differ greatly.  Because of this, all of our services are priced based on level of each service needed and the volume.  Simply put the more we do the cheaper we get.  

But the real question is not "How much do the services cost?", the real question is "How much is it costing you to not have the services?"

How is MBS Estimating affiliated with MBS Software?

MBS-Estimating and MBS Software are not the same company.

MBS-Estimating is a client of MBS software, that is also recognized as the premier third party service provider.  To better understand just what that means, think of MBS software as a race car.  Out of the box, MBS software contains all of the parts and pieces needed to make the car go.  But the difference between having a car that runs and one that is capable of winning races is the setup of those parts and pieces.  That is where we come in.  We help you get the most out of your MBS software by making sure those parts and pieces work together perfectly.  The more accurate and efficient those parts and pieces work together the greater your chances are at winning sales.

What is included in the Estimating Services?

BASIC ESTIMATING SERVICES

This level of service works best for basic, low complexity projects.  This level of services includes the building of the estimate model, in the client provided software, and returning the software output to the client.

LEVEL 2 ESTIMATING SERVICES

This level of service includes the same services as the Basic level above, but it covers larger more complex buildings.  Buildings with features such as cranes, mezzanines, and even multi-building projects, are covered at this level of service.

PRO ESTIMATING SERVICES

This level of service includes the same services as the Basic and Level 2 services shown above, but includes project take-offs, engineering consults, and other specialized work needed to complete the project model.

What is included in the Detailing Services?

DETAILING SERVICES

BASIC DETAILING SERVICES

The basic level is normally reserved for processing jobs that are ordered on approval, are of low complexity, and  smaller in size.  At this level we first match the estimate model to the sales contract and check for basic design errors in the model run.

       NON-MBS SOFTWARE CLIENTS.   We prepare other documents required by supplier to order the building on Approval.

       MBS SOFTWARE CLIENTS ONLY.  We detail the Approval drawings, prepare the Design reports, and forward both to the Engineer of Record to review and stamp.

    

LEVEL 2 DETAILING SERVICES (only for MBS software clients)

Level two is the same as the above Basic level but includes making any detailing adjustments to the model run in order to eliminate or correct any obvious design conflicts in the detailing output. This level covers moderate complexity level buildings that are in the mid to larger size range.

PRO LEVEL DETAILING SERVICES (only for MBS software clients)
The Pro level again provides the same services as the basic and level two services listed above. However, this level of detailing includes complete final detailing of construction and shop drawings. This also includes reports such as Shippers and Plate summaries. This level processes the job for final construction and production. Any additional services required such as engineer consults and or AutoCad work that falls outside of the MBS software capabilities will be addressed at this level.

What is included in the MBS Admin and Maintenance services?

MBS ADMIN AND MAINTENANCE

This service includes any changes or adjustments that need to be made to any files or sub files within the clients MBS software database.  This includes: cost updates, database maintenance, detailing method changes, drawing file set up and changes, and even minor design or detailing adjustments that may be needed at the job level

Can MBS-Estimating provide services to clients that do not have MBS Software?

MBS-Estimating provides services to both branded dealers and MBS software clients alike.

We provide estimating services for all "Dealer Network" metal building manufacturer's. This includes dealers such as Star, VP, Nucor, American, and Metallic just to name a few.


For clients that do not have MBS software or a dealer network relationship we offer Dealerships.  This services is for metal building resellers that want the benefits MBS software but do not have the means or expertise to manage the set up and administration of the software.

How does this work?

MBS SOFTWARE CLIENTS

Each client provides us with a copy of their MBS database files, an active hardware lock, FTP access credentials, a copy of their digital quote request form, and access to their CRM system.  The CRM systems is used to create an activity (workflow) that requests that MBS Estimating provide an estimate on a particular project.  Once the estimate has been completed, the MBS Zip file and any other supporting documents are returned to the clients CRM and thus completing the activity (workflow) request.

     *While each client is REQUIRED to provide the above mentioned items to MBS Estimating prior to the start of any services, it is understood that some clients may not have the digital quote request (DQR) from or a CRM system in place.  In this event MBS Estimating can provide both for an additional monthly fee.  

NON-MBS SOFTWARE CLIENTS (Dealer Network)

Each client provides us a copy of their dealer network estimating software and all required activation codes, a copy of their digital quote request form, and access to their CRM system. The CRM systems is used to create an activity (workflow) that requests that MBS Estimating provide an estimate on a particular project.  Once the estimate has been completed, the MBS Zip file and any other supporting documents are returned to the clients CRM and thus completing the activity (workflow) request.

     *While each client is REQUIRED to provide the above mentioned items to MBS Estimating prior to the start of any services, it is understood that some clients may not have the digital quote request (DQR) from or a CRM system in place.  In this event MBS Estimating can provide both for an additional monthly fee.

NON-MBS SOFTWARE CLIENTS (MBSE Dealer Services)

MBS Estimating provides an MBS database based on the building supplier's standards that the Client has selected to use.  The Client supplies a copy of their digital quote request form, and access to their CRM system.  The CRM systems is used to create an activity (workflow) that requests that MBS Estimating provide an estimate on a particular project.  Once the estimate has been completed, the cost file and any other supporting documents are returned to the clients CRM and thus completing the activity (workflow) request.

     *While each client is REQUIRED to provide the above mentioned items to MBS Estimating prior to the start of any services, it is understood that some clients may not have the digital quote request (DQR) from or a CRM system in place.  In this event MBS Estimating can provide both for an additional monthly fee.

     * Additional limits, costs and restriction do apply.
